A 1917 Art Nouveau landmark on Boulevard des Capucines — formerly the Samaritaine de Luxe department store, now a 149-room Kimpton that opened in 2021. The building is a registered Historic Monument, its curved turquoise-trimmed facade by architect Frantz Jourdain stopping people mid-sidewalk. Inside, Charles Zana's clean-lined, 1930s Art Deco interiors feel more like a well-appointed Paris apartment than a hotel room. The Palais Garnier opera house is around the corner; Place Vendôme and Galeries Lafayette are on foot.
