Tryon Park Hotel
New South glam — Southern warmth dressed in a cosmopolitan suit. Crystal chandeliers, marble accents, and indigo-gray palette offset by genuinely approachable service and Kimpton's characteristically laid-back personality.
Half the rooms face Romare Bearden Park and Truist Field; the other half look over Uptown Charlotte — ask for a park-side room for the best morning views
Why It Matters
One of Charlotte's most prominent boutique hotel addresses, with the city's top rooftop bar perch at 19 stories and a strong Italian restaurant concept. Part of the 300 South Tryon mixed-use development, directly adjacent to Romare Bearden Park and a short walk from Bank of America Stadium, Spectrum Center, and the Convention Center.
Kimpton Tryon Park opened in November 2017 as a purpose-built 18-story glass tower in Charlotte's Uptown 3rd Ward, right across from Romare Bearden Park. It's 217 rooms of dark mahogany, Italian marble, and crystal chandeliers — genuinely handsome in a way that doesn't feel like it's trying too hard. The real draw is Merchant & Trade on the 19th floor: one of the very few rooftop bars in Charlotte with proper indoor/outdoor options and panoramic views that sweep across the city skyline and park below.
