Kinship Landing is a locally founded boutique basecamp sitting in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. Built from scratch on a vacant lot by founders Brooke and Bobby Mikulas after years of globe-trotting, the hotel runs on a simple premise: make people feel like they already belong here. There's no spa, no pool, no traditional concierge desk — but there's a genuinely warm staff, 10 distinct room types ranging from soaking-tub king suites to a rooftop urban camping deck, and Homa Café + Bar anchoring the ground floor with locally sourced food and craft cocktails open seven days a week.

Camp Deck
Four stories up, open to the sky. This rooftop campsite sleeps up to 6 on flat turf — but unlike an actual campsite, you get a private bathroom with toilet, sink, and walk-in shower, plus hammock hooks, a Bluetooth speaker system, and a table and chairs. Pikes Peak, Cheyenne Mountain, and the full Front Range sit right in front of you. Gear is not included; bring your sleeping setup. Can also be rented as a unique meeting space.

Double Queen Balcony Suite
Two queen beds, a spacious outdoor balcony with rocking chairs, and morning mountain air. Clean and functional with all the Kinship custom finishes. Good option for two couples or a parent/kid setup who want outdoor space.
2 QueensExecutive King Suite
Designed for the guest who actually needs to get work done. Adjustable sit/stand desk with charging ports, a curated sitting area with couch and chairs, a whiteboard, and all the standard Kinship comfort. Spacious and practical without sacrificing the boutique aesthetic.
KingFamily Suite
Tiny but mighty. Sleeps six full adults with a queen bed and four twin beds, two sinks, two toilets, and a luxury shower in-room plus another down the hall. Popular with wedding parties, large friend groups, and families who don't need much floor space but want everyone together.
Queen + 4 TwinJr Queen
The standard entry-level room. Sliding door to fresh air, boutique decor, Tuft & Needle queen on a platform, sit/stand desk, and a kettle. Dogs allowed with a pet fee. Same Brooklinen linens as every other room.
QueenKing Suite
Cozy and well-appointed king suite with an overhead garage door, free-standing soaking tub, and fireplace. Less of a mountain panorama than the Mountain King version, but the same luxurious bed setup and the same sense of arrival.
KingMountain Double Queen Suite
Two queen beds with mountain views and extra space. Solid choice for sharing without any frills beyond what you need: premium bedding, views, and the full Kinship design language.
2 QueensMountain Jr Queen
Compact and efficiently designed with mountain views, a built-in sit/stand desk, and pet-friendly upgrade options. Everything you need, nothing you don't. The queen platform bed sits low, which some guests love and others find awkward — worth knowing in advance.
QueenMountain King Suite
The most dramatic room in the house. An overhead garage door opens directly to Rocky Mountain views and crisp Colorado air. Inside: a free-standing soaking tub, a soothing fireplace, and a Tuft & Needle king mattress dressed in Brooklinen sheets. The kind of room you'll rearrange your trip to spend more time in.
KingMountain Queen Balcony Suite
One of only three rooms with a proper outdoor balcony — rocking chairs and direct Pikes Peak and Rocky Mountain views. Sleeps up to 3 with a queen bed plus two twin trundle options. A strong pick for anyone who wants to drink coffee outside with the mountains in front of them.

Rotating community events hosted at Homa Café + Bar including pop-up art cafes, mahjong classes, and similar local programming. Open to guests and the public.
Monday–Friday, 3–6pm. $4 draft beer, $5 house wine, $9 signature cocktail or mocktail, half-price cauliflower pop or fries.
Full brunch menu at Homa every Sunday, 8am–2pm. Seasonal ingredients, chef-crafted dishes. Open to guests and non-guests alike.
Staff actively help guests plan outdoor and cultural adventures: hiking routes to Garden of the Gods (12 min drive), Pikes Peak Highway (27 min drive), downtown speakeasies and breweries (5 min walk), and live music venues.
Sleep four stories up under the Colorado sky on a private rooftop campsite. Hammock hooks, Bluetooth speakers, and views of Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain included. You bring the gear. One of the most genuinely original hotel experiences in Colorado.
