Kinship Landing
Adventure-forward, community-first. Utilitarian-chic design with custom millwork, Tuft & Needle mattresses, and overhead garage doors that blur the line between indoors and the Front Range. Feels more like a European design hotel crossed with a community hub than a standard American boutique property.
The Camp Deck books fast — reserve it the moment dates open if you want the full Pikes Peak-at-sunrise experience. Bring your own sleeping gear.
Why It Matters
Named a Michelin Selected Hotel for 2025, listed on the 2021 Condé Nast Traveler Hot List, and voted Best Hotel in Colorado Springs by Springs Magazine's People's Choice Awards. Featured in Forbes, the TODAY Show, and USA Today. The Camp Deck — a rooftop urban campsite four stories up with private bathroom and Pikes Peak views — is genuinely one-of-a-kind.
Kinship Landing is a locally founded boutique basecamp sitting in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs. Built from scratch on a vacant lot by founders Brooke and Bobby Mikulas after years of globe-trotting, the hotel runs on a simple premise: make people feel like they already belong here. There's no spa, no pool, no traditional concierge desk — but there's a genuinely warm staff, 10 distinct room types ranging from soaking-tub king suites to a rooftop urban camping deck, and Homa Café + Bar anchoring the ground floor with locally sourced food and craft cocktails open seven days a week.
