L'Auberge
Historic Swiss villa meets modern boutique. Warm, personal, owner-run. Think high ceilings, wooden floors, old stoves in some rooms, and a serious wine list — but zero stuffiness.

Why It Matters
The only hotel in Langenthal with a Gault Millau-awarded kitchen (14 points). Michelin Key selected. A listed heritage building with a genuine social conscience mission. Also curated by Tablet Hotels.
A listed 1870 villa in the centre of Langenthal, renovated in 2011 and run with genuine warmth by two Lucerne hotel school graduates — chef Andri Casanova and sommelière Kathrin Spillmann. Seventeen individually designed rooms blend antique details with clean contemporary furnishings, and the on-site restaurant holds 14 Gault Millau points, making it the most decorated kitchen in town. Here is the thing that sets it apart: the hotel also runs a vocational reintegration programme for people with mental illness, which is unique in Switzerland.
