A 17th-century farmhouse on a gentle hill in Val d'Orcia, sitting between Pienza and Monticchiello with views rolling out in every direction. Just seven accommodations — six suites and one room — owned since 2014 by Tonino Cacace, the founder of the Capri Palace Hotel. The surrounding hills are laced with strade bianche (gravel roads) and trails through UNESCO World Heritage countryside. The concierge team can suggest and set up walking itineraries across the valley.
Staff — particularly Gabriella, Giulia, and Antony — are known for setting up full day-trip itineraries including wine tours in Montalcino, thermal baths at Bagno Vignoni (13 km), visits to Montepulciano, and photography walks with a local photographer.
The estate produces its own organic olive oil at the affiliated Podere San Giovanni. Guests can sample the estate's oil during their stay — one of the signature low-key pleasures the property is known for.
The concierge team can arrange a local pici pasta-making lesson through their network of contacts. Pici is the hand-rolled Sienese pasta that appears on nearly every table in the area.
