La Brise Roscoff
Quiet Breton manor with a contemporary-minimal interior — natural materials, soft lighting, quality linens from Pyrenex, and a fragrance that actually changes with the seasons. Intimate and personally run rather than hotel-polished.
The guest house (4 bedrooms) permanently closed October 22, 2025 — only the 2 studios remain bookable. Confirm directly before booking via any third-party platform still showing the rooms.
Why It Matters
Handpicked by both Tablet Hotels and the Michelin Guide as one of the standout places to stay in Brittany. The guest room offering (now closed) was particularly praised; the remaining studios maintain the same design sensibility at a more autonomous, self-catering format.
La Brise is a handsome 1915 manor house in the dead center of Roscoff, four minutes on foot from the sea. Owners Juliette and Alexandre — a Breton and a Marseillais who met working on cruise ships — completely renovated it and opened as a boutique B&B in 2021. As of October 22, 2025, the four guest rooms have permanently closed; the two self-catering studios (Jeannette and Huguette) in the adjacent longère building remain available to book.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The small island of Île de Batz sits just opposite Roscoff and is accessible by a short ferry crossing. Recommended by the hosts as a highlight of any stay.
Host-recommended coastal walk from the property to the Perharidy peninsula — around 45 minutes on foot each way. Wild mix of land, sea, and fine sand. Juliette refers to it as 'la Forêt des Trésors'. Allow 40–50 minutes to explore once there.
The famous Jardin Exotique et Botanique de Roscoff is 1.9 km from the property — a short bike ride or taxi. A legitimate horticultural curiosity in the middle of Brittany.
Roscoff's weekly Wednesday market is a short walk away. Studio guests have full kitchens, so this is a genuine practical highlight — pick up local produce and cook at home.
