Why It Matters
Third property in the La Fiermontina Family Collection (after Lecce and Paris), and the only one in Africa. Founded as a solidarity tourism project centered on the owners' grandfather's native land: the retreat funds water, roads, education, and employment for surrounding villages. The Khemis Sahel Dune Regional Park — created by the family in 2018 — protects the landscape, including 7,500 replanted olive trees. Rare combination of genuine luxury and genuine community impact.
La Fiermontina Ocean is an Italian-Moroccan eco-retreat sitting inside the Dune of Khmis Sahel Regional Park, 45 minutes south of Tangier on Morocco's wild Atlantic coast. Getting here involves 5km of unpaved track — that's intentional. The remoteness is the whole point. Spread across 322 acres of dunes, ancient ruins, rock, and olive groves, it splits into two distinct worlds: modern stone-clad pool suites overlooking the ocean, and four traditional houses in the living village of Dchier, 800 meters up the hill. Named after the owners' grandfather — Cadi Thami Filali, the judge whose story inspired the whole project. Family portraits from the 1930s and his antique phone are on display. This is where cooking classes happen. The most story-rich of the four village houses.

A one-bedroom suite positioned for maximum solitude — facing the Atlantic with only the dunes for neighbors. Built in local stone with floor-to-ceiling windows so the ocean is always in frame.
