La Fonda Heritage Hotel sits on Plaza Santo Cristo in Marbella's Casco Antiguo — three 16th-century buildings that served as a hermitage, school, and private residence before being restored with a €7.5 million, five-year renovation. The lobby opens onto an Andalusian patio with ancient stone columns and a Moorish fountain. Ancient trees grow up through the inner courtyards, the altar of a 16th-century hermitage is now part of the restaurant, and 18th-century frescoes adorn the Heritage Suite ceiling. This is Andalusia's first Relais & Châteaux property and a 2025 Michelin Key recipient.

Steps up to a balcony with Old Town views. Same marble-and-beam aesthetic, same premium kit throughout. This is the only room category where pets are welcome (€50/night supplement). A sitting area gives a bit more breathing room.

The most storied room in the hotel. The vaulted ceiling is covered in restored 18th-century frescoes — actual surviving paintings from the building's past life. Wide balcony overlooks the old town. Freestanding bathtub plus walk-in shower. Genuinely spacious by Casco Antiguo standards.

The entry-level room, and smaller than some guests expect — 20 sq m so don't pack light. Patio-facing views, wood-beamed ceilings, marble floors.
