Why It Matters
Satellite accommodation to France's only new three-Michelin-star restaurant of 2026. Chef Michaël Arnoult earned his first star in 2007, his second in 2012, and waited 14 years for the third — awarded at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco in March 2026. La Maison des Morainières is the six-room guesthouse attached to Les Morainières, the only restaurant in France to receive a third Michelin star in 2026. Housed in a converted 19th-century farmhouse in Saint-Pierre-de-Curtille — a few minutes' drive from chef Michaël Arnoult's three-star kitchen in Jongieux — it exists primarily to let diners sleep off one of the most serious meals in the French Alps. The rooms are spacious (35–45 m²), each named after a plant, and a heated outdoor pool looks out over the Savoyard mountains.
