The oldest hotel on Capri — originally built in 1822 as Locanda Pagano, a creative refuge where artists, poets and musicians literally painted the walls in lieu of payment — La Palma has been gutted and reimagined by Malta-born interior designer Francis Sultana into a 50-room, 5-star property owned by the Reuben Brothers and operated by Oetker Collection. It sits like a brilliant white cube in the middle of Capri town, a two-minute walk from the Piazzetta.
