Why It Matters
Sister property to the 2-Michelin-starred Casadelmar hotel, which is a short speedboat ride across the bay. La Plage is the more casual, beach-first version — fewer rooms, no frills, but the same access to one of Corsica's finest private sandy coves. Open only May to September, and regulars book it out quickly.
La Plage Casadelmar is a 5-star boutique beach hotel on the Benedettu peninsula in the Gulf of Porto Vecchio. Just 20 rooms spread across four villas and a main building, all a short walk from a fine-sand private cove framed by red rocks and pine trees. The architecture — stone, oak, volcanic rock, glass — sits low in the landscape, and the interiors lean minimalist: bold blues outside, understated neutrals within, everything referencing life at the beach.

The Deluxe rooms are noticeably more spacious at 39–45m², with open-plan bathrooms featuring wood panel elements and rain showers. Garden-facing, with a few of these rooms able to interconnect — useful for families. Good value versus the sea-view equivalent.

The most popular room category according to editorial sources — and it's easy to see why. Sea-facing, with direct views over the bay from your private terrace. Slightly smaller floor area than the garden Luxe rooms (31–38m²) but the view more than compensates. Worth the upgrade.

The entry-level room, set among the garden-facing villas. Compact but finished with the same stone, wood and volcanic rock palette as the rest of the hotel. Two single beds that can be made up as a double, with a private terrace looking out over the pines.

A 16-metre heated pool with sea views and ample sunloungers. Heated, so usable even in shoulder months when the sea is cooler.
Daily boat transfers connect La Plage with sister hotel Casadelmar across the bay. Used for spa access or dinner at the 2-Michelin-star restaurant Le Casadelmar. Practical, scenic, and the best way to make use of both properties in one trip.
Boat excursions depart directly from La Plage's private dock, run in partnership with Azur Privilèges (www.azurprivileges.com). Itinerary is flexible — guests can explore the south Corsica coastline, visit the Lavezzi and Cavallo islands, or even cross to Sardinia. A standout activity for this part of the island.
A fine-sand cove on the Benedettu peninsula, edged with pine trees and red porphyry rocks. Rustic wooden sunloungers and woven-grass parasols. The water is calm and clear — one of the better swimming spots in the Porto Vecchio area.
Diving excursions (group and private) depart from Porto Vecchio port, with hotel dock pickup available at an additional charge. Kite and windsurfing conditions around Santa Giulia and La Plage Casadelmar are good when the wind is right. The front office team can organise lessons and equipment rental referrals.
The hotel hosts weddings, taking advantage of the private beach and panoramic terrace setting.
