Why It Matters

La Villa Douce is a 4-star boutique hotel perched on the heights of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, a genuinely quiet village between Saint-Tropez and Le Lavandou. The interiors lean almost Nordic in their restraint — blues, grays, pastel tones — which somehow makes the 180-degree Mediterranean views hit harder. All 31 rooms and suites face south toward the Îles d'Or (Golden Islands), and every one has a terrace or balcony.
