Lavender
French farmhouse meets Napa wine country. Terracotta, lavender, and gold inside; wild roses and hydrangeas outside. Warm and cozy rather than slick or minimalist. The brick courtyard strung with lights is where guests naturally end up in the evenings.
The afternoon wine hour runs 4:30–5:30 sharp. Miss it and you get a small to-go container of cheese, crackers, and olives — worth timing your return.
Why It Matters
The Webber House dates to the 1870s and holds National Register of Historic Places status. Location is the real draw though — the French Laundry is literally across the street, and the rest of Yountville's restaurant and tasting room scene is a flat walk in any direction. Sister property Maison Fleurie is a short stroll away and guests can use its pool and hot tub.
Nine rooms across four renovated 19th-century farmhouses, sitting directly across the street from the French Laundry. The original Webber House is on the National Register of Historic Places (site #82002219), and it still anchors the property — wraparound porch, bold Provence-inspired colors, and a glass-enclosed veranda where a full breakfast buffet lands every morning. The cottages out back have private patios, peaked ceilings, and some have outdoor soaking tubs. It's a genuine B&B in the best sense: every room gets a fireplace, a king bed, freshly baked cookies at the desk, and an afternoon wine hour at 4:30.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
A small collection of books and board games available to borrow from the front desk. There's also a sitting room stocked with daily newspapers.
The inn loans out bicycles at no charge for exploring the Napa Valley Vine Trail and town. Yountville's flat terrain and the dedicated trail make cycling a genuinely useful way to reach wineries and tasting rooms.
The brick-lined courtyard is strung with lights and has a fire pit. This is where guests tend to gather in the evenings with a glass of wine. It doubles as the backdrop for the afternoon wine hour.
A traditional French boules court in the garden. Fittingly Provençal given the inn's aesthetic, and a low-key way to spend an afternoon before the wine hour.
The front desk keeps a basket of two-for-one tasting cards for local wineries and tasting rooms — useful since individual tastings in Yountville typically run $15–$20 each. Staff can also handle restaurant reservations and activity planning.
