Le Celtique has been the smartest address on Carnac-Plage since the 1920s, and a full renovation completed in 2021 gave it back the Art Deco soul of its 1930s heyday. Think pale wood, rattan, soft beige-and-white palettes broken up by black metal and gold accents — it reads as a very well-done Breton seaside hotel, not a generic renovation. The hotel sits 100 metres from the Grande Plage, which looks straight out to the islands of Houat and Belle-Île-en-Mer. Fifty-three rooms and suites, a genuinely impressive 650 m² spa, restaurant Le Cairn with a chef who trained under Robuchon and Ducasse, and a heated indoor pool. The smallest rooms are compact (16 m²), and parking is tight in high season.
