A 19th-century château built in 1862 for Anjou industrialist Germain Bouyonnet-Belize, sitting in 6 hectares of grounds a ten-minute drive from central Angers. A passionate antique dealer renovated the whole place — you feel that in the details. Rooms mix antique furniture with contemporary comfort, and the retro-chic vibe is consistent throughout. How you'll actually spend your days.
A signature experience run in partnership with Loire Attitude, departing directly from the château by electric bike. The route takes in Île Saint-Aubin, the banks of the Maine, the Lac de Maine migratory bird reserve, and Bouchemaine — where guests board a boat for a river cruise with a wine tasting of Savennières on a Loire sandbank. Returns to the château via the Baumette convent.
6 hectares of wooded grounds including a botanical garden, vegetable garden, and an enclosed park where sheep roam. The property borders the Natura 2000-listed Saint-Aubin valley floodplain — a protected migratory bird reserve.
The Loire à Vélo cycling route runs directly through the area, accessible on foot or by bike from the hotel. Bikes available for rental.
Golf course located 0.6 miles (about 1 km) from the hotel.
