Why It Matters
One of the most decorated chef-owned hotel-restaurants in France: 2 Michelin stars (since 2014), 1 Michelin Key hotel distinction (2025), Gault & Millau 5 toques, ranked 10th in the world on La Liste. Chef Olivier Nasti was named Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2007. The Winstub holds a Bib Gourmand and doubles as the breakfast room. Sommelier Jean-Baptiste Klein is a Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2018 and Gault & Millau Sommelier of the Year 2024.
Le Chambard is the kind of place that earns its reputation quietly. A red-façaded 18th-century mansion on Kaysersberg's main cobblestone street, it has been in the hands of the Nasti family since 2000. Olivier Nasti — Meilleur Ouvrier de France and 2-Michelin-star chef — runs the kitchen, while Patricia holds the house together with a warmth that never tips into stiffness. Thirty-three rooms, two restaurants (one of them among the top tables in France), a 200 m² spa, and a village that was voted France's favourite in 2017 all right outside the front door.

Classic Double Room
Individually furnished and decorated rooms with light colours, natural wood touches, and almond green accents that nod to the Alsatian landscape outside. All have flat-screen TV, minibar, coffee machine, kettle, and a private bathroom with bathtub or shower. Not enormous, but warm and well-considered.
Junior Suite
Designed as proper cocoons of comfort, Junior Suites add an independent living room to the mix. Bathrooms have both a shower and a bathtub. Views open onto either the vineyard or the rooftops of Kaysersberg. A step up in space and mood without going full suite territory.
Suite
Six suites in total, each with its own distinct character — Alsatian luxury at its most generous. Large living room or dressing area, bathroom with both shower and whirlpool bathtub, and a separate toilet. Views take in the vineyard, the village of Kaysersberg, or the main street. Unlimited spa access is included. A minibar, coffee machine (Reck coffee, Gaïa teas) and extra bed on request round it out.

One of Alsace's most celebrated Christmas markets, right in front of the hotel during Advent. Wooden chalets, kougelhopf, mulled wine, local handicrafts. Book rooms well in advance for December stays.
France's Favourite Village (2017) is walkable from the front door. Medieval castle on the Schlossberg (10-min walk), Sainte-Croix Church (12th–15th century), the fortified pink sandstone bridge, the Glass Art Studio with live master glassblowing, and the Hotel de Ville (Rhine Renaissance) are all within easy reach.
Le Chambard sits directly on the Alsace Wine Route. The sommelier team can advise on local winemakers and tastings. The Marius Bar curates a selection of artisan producers from the region.
