Le Cise sits on a wooded cliffside in the Bois de Cise — a protected coastal forest just above the Baie de Somme, two hours from Paris. The property spreads across eight villa buildings and a standalone lodge, with 30 rooms total, all individually decorated with a restrained contemporary palette that mixes period architecture and some antique furniture. It holds the Relais du Silence label for good reason: the location is genuinely quiet, the nearest town is small, and the cliff views are the main event.

The 37,900-hectare Baie de Somme holds the Grand Site de France label. Seals, the Marquenterre bird reserve, sand yachting at Crotoy, and the port of Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme are all within driving distance.
A 5-minute walk from the hotel leads to a panoramic lookout over the chalk cliffs. The Sentier du Littoral runs along the coast. Victor Hugo reportedly walked these cliffs regularly. Good at sunrise or after dinner.
