Le Clair de la Plume
Romantic, literary Provençal heritage. Antique engravings, natural wax floors, lavender scents, and books everywhere. Feels like arriving at a distinguished friend's country home rather than a hotel. Each of the six houses has its own personality — from the noble staircase of the Maison Privée to the contemporary rooms of the renovated 1760 farmhouse.

Why It Matters
The gastronomic restaurant has held 1 Michelin star continuously since 2015 and also carries a Green Star for sustainable gastronomy — one of the first in France to do so. 95% of ingredients sourced within 70 km. The menu is co-signed by 3-star chef Glenn Viel and executive chef Benjamin Reilhes. The property also includes a chemical-free natural swimming pool, Mediterranean garden with a beehive, and the intimate Lovers' Pavilion cottage.
Le Clair de la Plume is a 4-star hotel-restaurant compound spread across six locations in the medieval village of Grignan, in the Drôme Provençale. The original Maison Principale sits on the site of a former Canon's residence, with 9 rooms furnished in 19th-century style and a 1-Michelin-star restaurant housed under a glass roof. The property holds a Michelin Key (Clé Michelin), placing it among just 127 establishments in France recognized for 'a singular stay.'
