Le Clos du Colombier
Intimate wine-country manor with design sensibility. Think elegant but unfussy — parquet floors, decorative fireplaces, Italian walk-in showers, and vineyard views. The kind of place where breakfast on the courtyard terrace is genuinely the highlight of the day.

Why It Matters
Named after the prestigious Pommard appellation plot that literally touches the garden. Listed on both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels. The hotel reopened in March 2025 after a small renovation, and the owners make a genuine effort to connect guests with the surrounding wine region — cellars on site, curated winery recommendations, walking distance to domaines.
A former 19th-century winegrower's estate in the Burgundy village of Pommard, run by owners Véronique and Philippe with genuine hands-on warmth. The house sits right next to the Clos du Colombier monopole vineyard — one of Pommard's celebrated appellation parcels — and that terroir context is woven into everything, from the biodynamically farmed vines at the garden's edge to the Burgundy bottles available in every room. Old stone and timber meet clean contemporary lines inside. No TVs. Good wifi.
