Le Domaine de la Klauss
Medieval stone exterior meets polished contemporary interior. Romantic, quiet, and firmly focused on food and wellness. Not a pool-party resort. Couples dominate the guest mix, and the pace is unhurried.

Why It Matters
Le K restaurant earned a Michelin star (2026). The bar was voted Best Hotel Bar in the World at the Villegiature Awards. Winner of World Luxury Hotel and Restaurant Awards 2025. The 800 m² Gemology Spa uses an exclusive mineral and vine-based treatment protocol developed specifically for this property.
A five-star Relais & Châteaux property built from rough-hewn stone quarried directly from the domaine's own land, sitting among the seven hills of Montenach in Lorraine, minutes from where France, Luxembourg, and Germany converge. The architecture reads medieval fortress from the outside; inside, contemporary bathrooms, Gemology spa treatments, and a Michelin-starred restaurant tell a different story. Run by the Keff family, who also operate the traditional Auberge just 80 metres down the hill, this is very much a family operation with serious ambitions.
