Le Marne Relais is a 14-room estate set on the Mura Mura winery grounds in the UNESCO-listed hills between Langhe and Monferrato in Piedmont. Two restored 19th-century farmhouses — the House of Poets and the House of Artists — hold 13 rooms, each named after and designed around a specific poem or artwork by a Piedmontese writer or contemporary illustrator. The 14th room is literally suspended five meters off the ground among the vines. Art, sport, and Piedmontese gastronomy are the three pillars here, and the property genuinely delivers on all three.

The most coveted room in the House of Poets, dedicated to Piedmontese singer-songwriter Gianmaria Testa. 50 sqm suite with a 13 sqm bathroom and 16 sqm private terrace looking out over the vineyards. Acacia wood parquet, underfloor heating, a freestanding soaking tub, and a shower with a view. This is the only room with a bathtub. Kampmann cooling system — apparently the quietest in the world — keeps it whisper-silent even in summer.
