Le Petit Létraz
Modern Alpine lakeside boutique — cosy, intimate, design-conscious without being pretentious. Think natural materials, clean lines, and a very French ease about it all.
Book the skipper boat shuttle to the Black Bass restaurant for lunch on the lake — runs June 15 to September 15 and is a highlight
Why It Matters
Formerly known as Le Clos Marcel, now rebranded and under the Destel Hotels group. One of very few hotels with direct private beach access on Lac d'Annecy's quieter western shore. Tablet Hotels listed. Green Key eco-certified. Seasonal only: open April to October.
Le Petit Létraz sits right on the water's edge of Lake Annecy — and that's the whole point. This small 4-star boutique hotel has just 14 rooms and a rooftop loft, all in a contemporary building designed to frame the lake rather than compete with it. Warm light oak, soft textures, and a convivial atmosphere make it feel more like a stylish friend's lakehouse than a hotel. The beach restaurant Les Parasols is open to the public, so day-trippers mix with guests on the sun loungers. Rooms on the smaller side (most around 21–25m²), but you'll barely be in them.
