A 110-acre estate set in the Loire Valley, roughly equidistant between Chambord and Chenonceau. Created by Alice and Jérôme Tourbier, it's built around an 18th-century limestone château — the Château du Breuil — surrounded by converted stone farmhouses, Scandinavian-style wooden cabins, a lake fringed with gorse, orchards, and working vineyards. The 49 rooms and suites are spread across these structures, each decorated differently with antique finds from local brocantes. Add a Michelin-starred restaurant, a Caudalie spa, and electric bikes for château-hopping, and you have a rare property that actually earns the word 'estate.'

At 40 sqm, these suites offer a living area open to the bedroom — ideal for families travelling with one child or couples who want space to spread out. Spread across multiple buildings: the château, the cabin hamlet of Hameau du Marais, and the Maison des Fruits. Names (Libellule, Prêle des Champs, Australe, Boréale) nod to nature. Optional access to a fully equipped private kitchenette available for an extra charge.

The undisputed showstopper. A solid-timber cabin perched on stilts directly above the estate's lake, named after Italo Calvino's 'Baron in the Trees.' From its tower, you get a 360-degree panoramic view over the entire hamlet, orchards, and gorse-fringed lake. Inside: creamy hues, silky fabrics, antique market finds, a grand double bed (180×200), and a sofa lounge extending from the sleeping area. Step onto the private terrace and into the Nordic bath. The most romantic room on the property by a considerable margin — book it months ahead.

A meaningful step up in size from the Superior, with the same high-quality amenities but more breathing room and better views of the woods, lake, and orchards.

The entry-level option, but still full of character. Ten rooms spread across Château du Breuil and the Maison des Fleurs and Maison des Fruits. Each has its own name (Luciole, Coccinelle, Amandier, Bleuet, Sauge) and individual decoration drawing on local flora and fauna themes. Château rooms come in earthy forest greens; the farmhouse rooms lean into expressionist artworks with blue-green tones. Small but smart, with quality French-made bedding and a proper separate bathroom with both bathtub and shower.

The estate keeps its own beehives and produces honey, which is served at breakfast. Beekeeping workshops are available for guests interested in the craft.
A pristine 18-hole golf course 10 minutes by bike from the hotel, set within Sologne's historic natural landscape. The hotel is an official partner and guests receive preferential access and warm welcome. Deer and roe deer visible at sunrise and sunset.
