Why It Matters

The original hotel of Courchevel 1850, designed in the spirit of the postwar ski resort movement. It's the only place in Courchevel where you can ski directly to the door while sitting next to an authentic Charlotte Perriand chair. Michelin Guide listed.

The first hotel ever built in postwar Courchevel, Les 3 Vallées has been around since the 1950s — and it shows, in the best possible way. Renovations brought back original furniture by Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé, Pierre Paulin, and Pierre Chapo, so the lobby honestly feels like a very stylish museum that also happens to have a fireplace and ski-in/ski-out access. Thirty rooms and one suite, all with mountain-facing balconies, sit above the world's largest ski area.

Where You'll Stay

3 room types available

Comfort
Standard

Comfort

Entry-level rooms at Les 3 Vallées, though 'entry-level' in Courchevel still means a balcony overlooking the slopes, a bathtub, and a Grown Alchemist toiletry kit. Sizes range from 22 to 28m² — honest alpine-inn proportions. The 1950s design codes from the lobby carry through: warm materials, rounded lines, muted tones. Interconnecting rooms available for families.

Privilege

Stepping up in size (29-38m²), the Privilege rooms fit 2 adults and one child under 12 comfortably. There's a sofa bed alongside the main sleeping area, and the balcony is proportionally larger. One room in this category has disabled access. A good call for families who want a bit more breathing room without going full suite. Two Privilege rooms can be connected with an adjacent Comfort room to create a larger configuration.

Suite

The whole top floor is yours. The 68m² suite feels like a private chalet perched above the hotel — mansard roofs, antique objects scattered around, a proper living room with a fireplace, and a private terrace facing the valley. Two full bedrooms, a bathtub AND a separate shower room, and three flat-screen TVs. Fits 2 adults and 2 children under 12. This is what Michelin calls 'at the top end — quite literally.'
