A 19th-century castle sitting directly on the Moselle riverbank, fully restored and opened as a luxury hotel in 2019. Built in 1884-1887 for industrialist Eduard Puricelli, then extended between 1895-1906 in Art Nouveau style — that layering of Neo-Renaissance and Jugendstil is the whole point of this place. Rooms come with crystal chandeliers, ornate woodwork, and marble bathrooms. This is gilded luxury without apology, 49 rooms in a wine country setting that feels genuinely removed from modern life.

Castle Guest Room
Standard rooms located primarily on the ground floor or distributed throughout the castle with limited views of the park and vineyard. Each room is individually furnished with historic elements. All share the same comfort level and ornate aesthetic — think antique furniture and proper curtains — but views are the trade-off.
Cottage House Room
Located in the beautifully renovated former historic stables adjacent to the castle, divided into Rittmeisterhaus and Torwächterhaus. Rittmeisterhaus rooms (3 total) include a separate kitchen and work well for longer stays or families. Torwächterhaus rooms are cosier and well-suited for event or wedding guests.
Emperor Suite (Kaisersuite)
The largest accommodation in the hotel at 125 sqm. Divided into a spacious living room with open fireplace (decorative) and multiple seating areas. The bay window above the main entrance frames views of the magnolia tree in the castle park and the Moselle. The imperial bathroom features a whirlpool with river views. The living room can double as a boardroom for up to 8 people or as a civil wedding venue.

The sweet spot for most guests. These double rooms face the Moselle River and come with the full castle aesthetic — high ceilings, ornate furnishings, large windows with river views. Worth the upgrade from vineyard-facing rooms.
Moselle View Junior Suite
Four junior suites all decorated with historical elements and facing the Moselle River. More space and a separate living area compared to standard rooms, each unique in its decor and furnishings. River-view balconies on some.
Moselle View Suite
Three named suites — Freiherren Suite, Freifrauen Suite, and Kronprinzen Suite — all elegantly proportioned with separate living rooms and Moselle River views. Each has distinct historical décor. Balconies look out over the river.
Vineyard View Guest Room
Standard double rooms with views over the surrounding vineyards. Located within the castle, these are individually decorated with antique touches and historic detail. Good entry point into the castle experience without the premium river view.
