Why It Matters
One of the most design-forward small hotels in the Cyclades. The interiors were conceived by theatre director and designer Antonis Kalogridis, the restaurant holds consistent national gastronomy awards, and the Liostasi Sea View Suite's private infinity pool with hydro massage is a genuine standout. Homer's Odyssey prologue is literally inscribed in stone around the pool.
Liostasi is a 28-room boutique hotel on a hillside above the port of Ios, with every room and suite facing the Aegean. Minimalist Cycladic design does the heavy lifting here — white walls, natural textures, curated Greek art — letting the sea views be the real spectacle. It's an SLH member and has won the SLH Dreamiest Design Hotel of the Year award, and Grandma's Restaurant has collected Toques d'Or honors every year from 2019 to 2024.

The signature 7-meter red aluminum sculpture 'Anatasis' by Kostis Georgiou stands at the pool, representing dancers and framing the view of Ios port.

The hotel's signature open-air movie theatre, a tribute to the classic Greek summer cinema tradition. Classic and new films screened under the stars while guests sip cocktails from specially designed loungers, with sea and night sky views. A genuinely lovely evening activity that's hard to find at most hotels.
The pool area, pool bar, and outdoor terraces can be arranged for weddings, bachelor parties, and private social events. One of the more scenic wedding venues in the Cyclades.
Concierge can arrange island-hopping adventures by private yacht or even private helicopter. Spa treatments can also be delivered on board private yachts.
