Longueville Manor
Country house luxury with genuine warmth. Think antique furniture mixing with contemporary touches, log fires in winter, a pool terrace in summer, and zero stuffiness. Personal rather than corporate.

Why It Matters
The only AA Five Red Star hotel in Jersey and the sole Relais & Châteaux member on the island. Executive Chef Andrew Baird has been at the stove since 1990, drawing on the hotel's Victorian walled kitchen garden for a restaurant that has held 3 AA Rosettes for over 15 years. Add a 600-bin wine cellar, a private yacht called Fizz Too, and 29 individually designed rooms, and nothing else on the island comes close.
Longueville Manor is a restored 14th-century manor house sitting on 18 acres just outside St. Helier — close enough to be convenient, far enough to feel like the countryside. The Lewis family has run it since 1949, and that continuity shows: staff who've been here decades, a kitchen garden that feeds the restaurant, and rooms that feel genuinely individual rather than hotel-standard. Jersey's only AA Five Red Star property and the island's sole Relais & Châteaux member.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
On-site playground for younger guests. The hotel also offers babysitting services and a 'Little Needs' programme to ensure essentials are ready for families with young children.
Small but well-equipped gym with cardio machines, free weights, and space for floor work.
Heated outdoor pool set within a terrace surrounded by manicured grounds. The natural hub of the hotel during summer months. Poolside loungers and alfresco dining available Monday to Saturday for lunch.
The hotel's own yacht, Fizz Too, takes guests on full-day charters during the warmer months. Destinations include other Channel Islands or an island circumnavigation — routes depend on weather and tidal conditions. Dolphin and seal spotting are a genuine possibility.
On-site tennis court available to guests.
The fully restored Victorian walled kitchen garden is cared for by the hotel's in-house forager and kitchen gardener, David. It supplies much of the restaurant's produce. Guests can explore the garden at their own pace.
The purpose-built, temperature-controlled wine cellar in the grounds houses over 600 bins. Private tastings can be arranged with the hotel's knowledgeable sommeliers.
The 18-acre estate includes formal gardens, an ornamental lake, and woodland trails that extend into the surrounding countryside. Quiet, uncrowded, and genuinely rural in character.
