Magic Megève Bois
Rustic-chic alpine chalet meets living art gallery. Heavy old-wood beams, artisan throw rugs, vintage enamel lamps. Warm and personal — run by an Italian family who treat guests like long-lost friends. Not flashy. Quiet confidence.
Ask to be taken down to the wine cellar — Alfredo's collection runs deep into Burgundy, Champagne, Tuscany, and Piedmont
Why It Matters
The Magic Collection Retreats started here before expanding to Milan, Ibiza, and beyond. The concept — take a heritage building, bring in a group of artists to transform every corner, pair it with a serious wine cellar — was born in this chalet. A thousand original artworks fill the property. The Kezia Spa offers treatments you won't find elsewhere in the Alps, including Human Tecar physiotherapy and shamanic bio-energetic rituals.
Magic Megève Bois is the flagship property of The Magic Collection Retreats — a 5-star boutique chalet hotel built around art, rare wine, and genuine alpine hospitality. The 1,080 sqm wooden chalet sits 80 metres from the Princesse slope, giving you true ski-in, ski-out access. Inside, you'll find roughly a thousand original artworks, a stocked historic wine cellar curated by owner Alfredo, a cinema room, and a spa. This is a family-run operation, and it feels like one. But the food, the service, and the sheer depth of the art collection punch well above the hotel's intimate 12-room scale.
