Why It Matters
The hotel is a tribute to femininity and French craftsmanship conceived by Corinne Evens (owner of the mansion and head of diamond dealer the Evens Group) and brought to life by Groupe Barrière. It's one of very few new builds in the Place Vendôme corridor, and the 26-key size keeps it genuinely exclusive. The lobby staircase features a banister sculpted with vegetation and dreamlike animals by artist Clémentine de Chabaneix.
Opened January 9, 2025, this 26-room five-star boutique hotel occupies a redesigned private mansion a short walk from Place Vendôme and the Tuileries. Every room is named after a remarkable woman — George Sand, Marlène Dietrich, Frida Kahlo's spirit permeates the restaurant — and the interiors are a genuine showcase of French craftsmanship, with Pierre Frey fabrics, Lalique wall sconces, and curtains supplied by Declercq (the same house that dresses Versailles and Fontainebleau). It's small, deliberately low-key, and feels more like staying in an exceptionally well-dressed Parisian apartment than a traditional hotel.

2-Bedroom Grande Suite George Sand
The biggest apartment in the hotel at 112 sq m — a combination of the George Sand Suite and Marguerite Yourcenar Room. Sleeps four on the 7th floor. Views stretch across the Vendôme column, Tuileries, and Montmartre. The Lacanche kitchen, two king beds, two bathrooms (one with freestanding tub), and a fireplace make this feel like a proper penthouse apartment.

Three rooms dedicated to Charlotte Delbo, Natalie Clifford Barney, and Marie Marvingt. Large windows look out onto Rue de Castiglione — you get street life views and good light. Refined without being over-decorated.
Castiglione Suite
Three suites paying homage to Alice Guy, Josephine Baker, and Simone Signoret. Upper-floor position gives a bird's-eye view of Rue de Castiglione. Each is distinctively decorated to reflect the personality it celebrates.
Courtyard Room
Six rooms, each inspired by an iconic woman — Marie Curie and Simone de Beauvoir among them. They overlook the hotel's quiet inner courtyard, which makes them the calmest option in the building. No street noise, good natural light from the courtyard side.
Grand Apartment
Seven generous apartments — almost 540 sq ft each — dedicated to figures like Maria Callas, Mata Hari, and Audrey Hepburn. A genuine Parisian pied-à-terre feel. Good for longer stays where you want space and self-sufficiency.

The signature suite, on the 7th floor at 94 sq m. Named after the French novelist, decorated with 18th-century fabrics referencing her personal bedroom. Private furnished balcony with Eiffel Tower views. Open-plan living-dining room with a Lacanche stove — you can host private dinners for up to 12 people. The hotel's top-floor attic room, named after the French novelist. Solid wood beams and skylights make this feel more like a writer's garret than a hotel room — in the best possible way. It also connects to the Grande Suite George Sand to form the largest apartment.

Three corner apartments — Nina Simone, Bette Davis, and Agatha Christie — with fully equipped kitchens and dining rooms. Corner position means light from two sides and views of both Rue de Castiglione and Rue du Mont Thabor.
