Book the Marcel Proust room in the manor for the most unobstructed bay view — the TV is cleverly hidden inside a piece of furniture

Why It Matters

Opened June 2025 with a 5-star classification. Best panoramic sea view among Normandy's luxury hotels — confirmed by its own Maître de Maison (formerly of Shangri-La). Rooms are named after literary figures (Agatha Christie, Marcel Proust, Jules Verne, Zola). Spa manager Patricia Verbecq is France's Best Spa Practitioner 2017, French Massage Champion 2019, and International Gold Medal recipient 2021. Restaurant chef Kévin Legoy trained at the Ritz in Paris and at a 2-Michelin-star Loire hotel. Listed in the Michelin Guide.

A 5-star manor hotel on the heights of Bénerville-sur-Mer, perched above Deauville with what multiple reviewers call the finest sea view of any luxury hotel in Normandy. The 1909 half-timbered house and its restored former stables sit on 3.5 hectares of wooded grounds, and after two years of renovation reopened in June 2025. Just 14 rooms and suites, each named after a famous writer. Hotelier Emmanuelle Bourgueil — who previously ran the Carl Gustav in Saint-Barth — designed the interiors with antique curiosities (a sextant, gramophone, vintage diving suit) scattered throughout like souvenirs of imaginary past residents.
