Maison Maubreuil is Nantes' first 5-star city hotel, opened in 2025 inside a carefully restored 19th-century hôtel particulier three minutes' walk from the Château des Ducs de Bretagne. Owner and art collector Philippe Rousse has distributed over 1,000 works of art throughout the building, and the concept extends to every room: each of the 13 rooms is a fully themed destination, from Tibetan mountain retreats to Saharan desert tents to a homage to 1920s Paris. It's small and singular. No pool, no spa on-site, no gym — what you get instead is art, wine, and two genuinely good restaurants.

A travel-themed tea time created in collaboration with Nantes pastry star Vincent Guerlais. Four sweet creations inspired by the hotel's rooms — each paired with a thoughtfully chosen drink. Runs Tuesday–Sunday 3pm–6pm at Chez Albert. By reservation only.
A monthly 1-hour wine tasting led by the hotel's sommelier, exploring a different grape variety, wine region or pairing theme each session. Recent topics have included 'From Nantes to Dijon' and 'Cheese & Wine Pairings'. Held every Saturday 11am–12pm.
Periodic evening events featuring a Nantes-region winemaker in person, with a 5-course menu matched to wines from the featured estate. Past dinners have spotlighted the Famille Lieubeau domain. The hotel accommodates professional and private events for up to 100 people, using either Chez Albert (Roaring Twenties salon atmosphere), Restaurant Félicie (vaulted cellars), or a full privatisation of the entire house. Bespoke workshops also available.
