du Monde Marseille
Provençal-chic boutique. Warm, design-forward interiors stocked entirely with Maisons du Monde furniture and accessories. The kind of place where the lobby doubles as a co-working space and hosts beer masterclasses on weekday evenings.

Why It Matters
Born from a collaboration between homeware giant Maisons du Monde and hotel group Vicartem/Younight Hospitality, launched in 2019 — this is only one of three hotels in the collection (Nantes and La Rochelle are the others). The concept is genuine: every room is dressed in actual Maisons du Monde pieces. It holds the Green Key international eco-label for sustainable tourism. The 16 apartment-suites at 37 rue Francis Davso include washers, dishwashers, and private terraces on some units.
The homeware brand Maisons du Monde put its interior design DNA to work on a small hotel group — and the Marseille outpost is the proof of concept. Right on the Quai des Belges, facing the Old Port, this 4-star boutique has 63 rooms styled after Provençal villages (think terracotta Aubagne, art deco Gordes) plus 16 apartment-suites a five-minute walk away, named after Marcel Pagnol characters. No pool, no gym, no spa. But the location is unbeatable, the lounge runs all day with local food and events, and the whole place feels like a very well-decorated friend's apartment rather than a hotel.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
The open lounge with high-speed WiFi, large tables, and press access via PressReader is available to guests all day for working or browsing.
Every afternoon from 3–6pm the lobby turns into an informal pâtisserie. Cake of the day €4.50, cake plus hot drink €7.90. Homemade pastries.
The hotel regularly hosts lobby events including beer masterclasses, wine tastings, and stand-up comedy nights with finger food. These are open to guests and sometimes neighbours.
A luminous outdoor patio extends from the lobby lounge — good for an evening drink or informal meeting in the open air.
