That makes it a bit of an outlier, and an interesting one. The 130-room hotel delivers the full Malmaison formula (moody lighting, big beds, a brasserie firing steaks on a Josper grill) in a location that puts the Liver Building a five-minute walk away and the Albert Dock practically at the front door. No spa on-site, no parking either — but the waterside setting and the dock-view rooms are the real draw.
