Why It Matters
One of the only hotels in Copenhagen with an indoor pool. The Junglefish Pool is a genuine spectacle — a tropical jungle atrium inside a Copenhagen city-centre building. The entire operation is organically certified (holds the Danish Golden Ø certification), and it carries a Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels listing.
This is the Danish hotel chain Guldsmeden doing something genuinely unusual. The big idea is a Bali-in-Copenhagen concept that actually holds up: an indoor atrium Junglefish Pool surrounded by hanging plants, tropical palms, and Balinese penjor poles right in the middle of the building. All 87 suites are arranged around it. The rooftop restaurant Chapung serves global organic cuisine, there's a Bali/Nordic spa up top, and a moody basement cocktail bar called Libelulle open on weekends. The whole place is certified organic and fairtrade. Note: strictly adults only (minimum age 15), and accessibility is genuinely poor — small lifts, rough flooring, and facilities spread across many floors.

2 Bedroom Suite
The biggest option in the house — two bedrooms, making it work for friend groups or anyone who wants proper separation between sleeping and living spaces. All 87 suites are described as capable of accommodating up to 5 people, and this is the configuration that makes that possible. Hypoallergenic bedding, minibar, and in-room safe included.
Classic Suite
More generous space than the Petite, with a full lounge area, four-poster Balinese-style bed, and kitchenette. Reviewers describe the rooms as having an industrial-meets-tropical design with Marshall speakers, organic snacks in the minibar, and good natural light. One consistent complaint: bring a sleep mask as blackout curtains can be thin.
Classic Suite – Pool Side
The Classic Suite overlooking the Junglefish Pool atrium. The view of the tropical atrium from your room is the defining Manon experience. Same caveats apply — request upper floors for more privacy and less noise from the pool below.
De Luxe Suite
The step-up option with more generous proportions. Balinese four-poster bed, expanded lounge area, and the full organic room amenity package. A solid choice for couples wanting extra breathing room.
Petite Suite
The entry-level suite at Manon. Compact but designed with the full Bali-inspired treatment — expect the same organic toiletries, kitchenette setup, and lounge area as the larger rooms, just in a smaller footprint. Good for solo travelers or couples who plan to spend most of their time by the pool.
Petite Suite – Pool Side
Same footprint as the Petite Suite but with direct views over the Junglefish Pool atrium. You're right in the middle of the tropical scene. The tradeoff: pool noise can carry, so light sleepers should consider a higher-floor room instead.
Petite Suite – Terrace
Petite Suite with a private terrace. A rare find in the Copenhagen hotel scene at this price point. The terrace gives you outdoor space without leaving your room.
