The Pond Suites, launched in 2021, are genuinely unique: five standalone nature-themed cabins built around a duck pond under mature oaks, with free-standing baths under circular picture windows.
Marlfield House is a 19th-century Regency-style manor opened as a hotel by the Bowe family in 1978, sitting on 36 acres of woodland, ornamental lake, rose, vegetable and herb gardens outside Gorey in County Wexford. It has 26 rooms spread across the manor house, five standalone Pond Suites, and a two-bedroom Lodge — all uniquely decorated with antiques, paintings, and marble bathrooms. Two restaurants, a kitchen garden supplying both, a croquet lawn, a tennis court, and Wednesday falconry displays on the lawn round out the estate experience.

Five standalone suites launched in 2021, each named after local wildlife. Built among mature oak and chestnut trees around the duck pond, with 50sqm of open-plan space, patio doors onto a private terrace, and a large bathroom with a free-standing bath under a circular picture window. Each suite has a distinct character — russet tones for The Fox, exotic greens and blues for The Peacock, and so on. Wi-Fi, Netflix, a fridge pre-stocked with wine and Prosecco, Voya toiletries, and organic tea and coffee. Built to low-carbon standards.

A Wednesday afternoon display on the hotel lawn run by Wayne from South East Falconry. Birds include owls, falcons, buzzards, and osprey — a rare chance to get close to birds of prey and learn about them from an expert.
The extensive working kitchen garden supplies both restaurants with vegetables, herbs, soft fruits, and salad. Guests are free to wander through it.
Nearly 2km of walks through the 36-acre estate, past the ornamental lake (home to swans, ducks, and geese), through mature woodland, and around the kitchen and rose gardens.
