Why It Matters
The spa alone sets it apart: 350sqm carved into the former Bank of France vault, claimed to be the most comprehensive spa in Hauts-de-France. The Sauna Suites feature enormous bathtubs carved directly from stone — installed before the exterior walls were built. Location is genuinely central: 200 metres from the cathedral, 300 metres from Jules Verne's house.
An independent, family-run 4-star hotel spread across two buildings on either side of the Rue des Jacobins in central Amiens. The original 19th-century building keeps its ornate wood panelling and ceiling mouldings, while the newer wing — built inside the shell of a former Banque de France — holds the bigger suites, a 350sqm spa in the historic vault, and the restaurant space. Opened in 2012 with just 12 rooms, it expanded significantly in 2021, adding 21 more rooms plus the full spa.

Penthouse
The flagship room. Located in the modern wing with a large private outdoor terrace. Guests mention the terrace as a genuine highlight. Kitchenette, sauna, full bath, LCD TV. Designed to low-energy housing standards.
Sauna Suites
Two-bedroom suites for 2–4 guests with a living room containing a double bed and a separate bedroom with twin or second double. The showpiece: a colossal bathtub carved directly from stone, installed before the exterior walls were constructed — Roman bath-scale. Plus a private sauna for four.
Queen or Twin (2 bedrooms)Superior Room
More spacious than the Elegant, with upgraded finishings. Some face the courtyard. LCD TV, minibar, bath and shower, bathrobes.
The Chalet
A distinctive suite with a cosy, chalet-inspired aesthetic — unique among the hotel's offerings. Popular with couples wanting something a bit different from the classical French décor elsewhere.
