A 17th-century Catalan farmhouse (masia) in the Alt Empordà countryside, about 4km from Figueres and 40km from Girona. The stone walls, vaulted ceilings, and thick wooden beams are the real thing — and the restoration keeps all of that intact while layering in proper modern comfort. Fourteen rooms plus a standalone villa, a barn converted into a spa in 2017, and a restaurant that grows its own produce and produces its own Arbequina olive oil on the property. The point here is to do less, not more.

The hotel keeps a fleet of bikes available to guests at no charge. The Empordà's network of internal roads and mountain biking circuits makes for excellent riding — flat sections across the agricultural plain or hillier routes toward the foothills.
