Why It Matters
One of the very few Michelin Key-awarded eco-resorts in Sicily. The entire property is powered by renewables, food largely comes from its own organic farm, and architect Gabriele Tumiati's restoration includes a hammam carved from a single 600kg block of Etna lava stone. The property also has its own private helipad.
A 19th-century Sicilian masseria — the kind of sprawling farm-hamlet that once fed entire villages — carefully restored into a 30-room eco-resort on a hilltop in the Val di Noto.
