Masseria Torre Coccaro
Rustic-luxe masseria: whitewashed stone walls, barrel-vaulted ceilings, antique furnishings, fireplace suites, and a working olive farm. Romantic and family-friendly in equal measure.
Room 35 is a junior suite in the ancient tower with sea views and a fireplace — one of the best rooms on the property.
Why It Matters
One of Puglia's most iconic masserias — a working 16th-century estate with 800-year-old olive trees, a cave spa, two beach clubs, and one of the region's best farm-to-table restaurants. Family-owned and operated by the Muolo family for generations.
A 16th-century fortified farmhouse turned family-run 5-star resort, Masseria Torre Coccaro sits among 800-year-old olive groves a short distance from the Adriatic. The Muolo family has kept the place deeply personal — 95% of staff are local, the food comes off the estate, and there's a 17th-century vegetable garden still in use. It's the real thing: ancient stone, whitewashed walls, cave spa, private beach clubs, and a genuine connection to the Puglian countryside.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
Bicycles available to explore the white gravel roads of the Puglia countryside, with the option of a curated picnic among the olive groves.
The property has its own horse-riding centre with ponies available for children. Guests can ride along the beach or through the countryside and olive groves.
Dedicated summer programme for children with activities, supervised play, and the estate's space to roam safely. Families consistently praise the child-friendliness of the property.
Hands-on Puglian cooking classes using the estate's organic farm produce. A genuine immersion in the local food culture rather than a demo show.
Tastings featuring the estate's own extra-virgin olive oil from 800-year-old trees and curated local Primitivo wines. Can be arranged at local farms nearby.
Professional family photo sessions on the estate — among olive trees, by the pool, or in the historic tower. A popular add-on for families and couples.
Curated evenings featuring traditional Puglian village feasts (sagre) and special themed nights on the estate.
The estate has its own golf area, and a free shuttle runs to the Egnathia Golf Club just 800 metres away. Five additional golf courses are accessible in the wider Puglia region.
The hotel arranges private romantic dinners in the masseria grounds — in the greenhouse, the chapel garden, or on the terrace — as well as seafood dinners on the coast.
Explore Puglia's towns and coastline by vintage car or classic Vespa scooter. The hotel arranges routes through Alberobello, Ostuni, Cisternino, and local farm visits.
The hotel operates a private 14-metre yacht for sea excursions around the bays of Polignano a Mare and the Adriatic coast. The most stylish way to reach the beach club in summer.
