ME Marbella
Avant-garde Mediterranean lifestyle hotel. High design energy, music-forward, art-driven. Less resort, more urban-cool-meets-sea.
The ME+ premium tier unlocks personalised service and exclusive experiences — worth pricing out for longer stays
Why It Matters
First ME by Meliá in Andalusia and the brand's most southern Spanish outpost. The Oasis beach club — an indoor beach inside the hotel — is the main talking point. ASAH Studio's design, paired with a Lacoste-costumed team and Pont Hospitality running the food and drink programme, gives this somewhere-new-happened energy on a coast that doesn't need more of the same.
ME Marbella arrived in 2025 as the ME by Meliá brand's first property in Andalusia, after a €20 million renovation of an existing building on the beachfront near Puerto Banús. Architects Adriana and Álvaro Sans of ASAH Studio pushed Mediterranean vernacular through an avant-garde filter — organic forms, whitewashed lime, stone, and sea-blue palette. The result is 200 rooms and a lifestyle hotel that takes its social programme seriously, with a beach club called Oasis at its centre featuring an actual indoor beach.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Private cellar tour at NotaBlu followed by champagne or curated wine tasting, seasonal menu by chef Fabián Cangas, then VIP access to a Macallan speakeasy. An indulgent Marbella evening done properly.
Catamaran to Spain's first underwater winery off Estepona's coast. Bottles aged under pressure and salt are retrieved by a sommelier and opened on deck. Includes curated snacks, sea views, and a swim at the end.
ME Marbella programmes ongoing music sessions and cultural events. Live music, art installations, and DJ sets are built into the hotel's social calendar — especially around the Oasis beach club.
A sensory journey through olive oil at Marbella's D'Oliva atelier. Create bespoke skincare infused with Mediterranean olive oil, then taste twelve premium oils paired with wine. Guided by experts.
Inside artist Ana Ortiz's private Marbella atelier, guests craft unique ceramic pieces inspired by wabi-sabi philosophy. Guided by Ortiz herself. A genuinely intimate creative session — not a tourist pottery class.
A guided hike through Ronda's Serranía, crossing vineyards and oak forests. Countryside aperitifs en route, estate wine tasting with local food at the end. Optional picnic lunch.
Inside Málaga's hidden speakeasy 'The Pharmacy' — a master mixologist leads a private tasting of three bespoke cocktails using botanicals, flowers and herbs. Not a hotel bar gimmick: it's an off-site creative session.
Photographer Jesús Chacón leads guests through Marbella's Old Town — artisan ateliers, courtyards, tapas bars only locals know. Ends with a personal portrait.
The centrepiece of ME Marbella. An indoor beach club where time fades away amid rhythmic beats, curated scents, and sunsets. Unlike anything else on the Costa del Sol — not a pool bar with a clever name, but an actual indoor beach concept.
Sail on a restored Mallorcan llaüt now running 100% electric. Snorkel above posidonia meadows, drink natural wine, eat seasonal bites prepared on deck. Zero-emissions luxury on the water.
