Paradiso Nation
Cinema-obsessed, design-forward boutique. Dark palette, red velvet curtains, blackout drapes, and monumental JR murals in the courtyard. Cozy and intimate rather than flashy — feels more like a film set than a grand hotel.
The two Cinema Suites are the only rooms where you can watch current box office films — worth the upgrade for serious film fans.
Why It Matters
The world's first cinema-hotel. Every room is a private screening room. The two Cinema Suites let guests watch current box office films on their own private projection setup. Artist JR contributed large-scale murals, including one inspired by Charlie Chaplin's 'The Kid'. Holds a Clef Verte sustainable tourism certification (2025).
Hotel Paradiso is Paris's first and only cinema-hotel, opened in 2021 by the mk2 group — the French cinema company behind some of the city's most iconic arthouse screens. Every one of the 35 rooms and 2 cinema suites comes with a laser video projector, a 3-metre-wide retractable screen, and a curated streaming library spanning Netflix, Mubi, Arte, mk2 Curiosity, and more. The two Cinema Suites go further: guests get access to actual current theatrical releases in their own private projection room. It's a genuinely singular concept, designed by decorator Alix Thomsen with art contributions from JR and Christian Boltanski.

How you'll actually spend your days.
On-site coworking space available for guests and outside visitors. One meeting room available.
The Suite Cinéma and Grande Suite Cinéma are the only rooms with access to current box-office releases, screened on a private in-suite projection setup. One film is complimentary per stay; additional films available on demand.
Every room has a laser video projector and 3-metre-wide screen. Standard rooms use full HD laser; Cinema Suites use 2K projectors with Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Access to streaming platforms (Netflix, Mubi, Arte, mk2 Curiosity, Prime Video, MyCanal, OCS, Carlotta Films, La Cintek) plus a curated weekly programme called Paradiscope, selected by mk2 and Trois Couleurs magazine.
A private karaoke room available to book on-site. New addition to the hotel — bookable separately via the hotel's booking system.
Free open-air screenings on the rooftop after dark, curated from the mk2 Curiosity catalogue — cult author films from Truffaut, Agnès Varda, Chabrol, Gus Van Sant and more. Runs in the evenings, typically from around 10pm in summer.
Hotel guests get exclusive access to private cinema boxes (loges) at the adjacent mk2 Nation multiplex — a front-row private bar setup for watching new releases. Can be arranged for events or group experiences.
PlayStation 5 console available on request in most room types (included as standard in Le Loft). Gaming on a 10-foot screen with 3D surround sound. The hotel curates its own game selection.
Solo or duo massages delivered in-room, in partnership with Compagnie Monmasseur. Available in the Cinema Suites, Le Loft, and the private Loge. Book in advance.
Book a room for just the afternoon — 3pm to 8pm — for a solo or couple binge session. Includes use of the room's private cinema setup. Optional in-room massage add-on (at additional cost). An affordable way to experience the concept without a full overnight stay.
