Why It Matters
Designed by Anouska Hempel (founder of Blakes London), part of the Chapitre Six collection. Earned a Michelin Key in 2024. On-site Galanga restaurant holds a Michelin star. No pool, but the location — one minute from the Champs-Élysées — and the quality of the interiors are genuinely hard to match at this scale.
Anouska Hempel — one of the original architects of the boutique hotel — transformed a quiet Haussmannian corner block on rue Washington into something nobody sees coming from the street. Step through the brass doors and you're into 46 rooms of marble, mirrors, velvet, and lacquer spread across six floors, each with its own atmosphere. One Michelin Key, a Michelin-starred restaurant in the basement, and a spa carved out of the ancient vaulted cellars.

Chambre Classique
The entry-level room and still genuinely handsome. Hempel's signature checkerboard floors, black lacquer furniture, and large mirrors set a moody, London-meets-Paris tone. Some rooms have a balcony looking onto rue Washington. Bathrooms are compact — don't expect a soaking tub here.
Chambre Deluxe
Larger, brighter rooms that play with light through spotted antique mirrors and skylights ('verrières'). Most come with either a balcony or a bow-window jutting over the street. The feel is Grand Siècle by way of a Parisian apartment — seriously comfortable.
Chambre Executive
More space than the Classique, with lacquer furniture and thick velvet curtains reflected in oversized mirrors. Bathrooms in all-black stone with gold taps — sleek and modern. Quiet garden-view options available, or street-facing with balcony. Two rooms in all-white sit tucked under the roofline.
Chambre Executive vue Tour Eiffel
All white — walls, linens, furniture — designed to frame the sky and whatever happens to be in it: namely the Eiffel Tower. The balcony is the draw. Watch the morning light move across the Parisian rooftops while breakfast is set outside.
Chambres Communicantes
Two rooms sharing a single entrance, each with its own distinct style. Designed for families or groups who want their own space without being completely separate. Good option if you're traveling with kids — connecting but not identical.
Junior Suite Vue Sacré-Cœur
Perched on the top floor, dressed in white that echoes the clouds outside. The balcony looks out across the Paris roofscape to Sacré-Cœur on the Montmartre hill. Big white marble mirrors and clean, uncluttered design — a room that encourages you to slow down.
Suite Franklin (Vue Tour Eiffel)
The attic suite — probably the most atmospheric room in the house. Converted from a hidden floor under the roofline, it has irregular volumes, multiple skylights ('chiens-assis'), and windows on all sides. The Eiffel Tower is visible from the balcony. Very much the Paris fantasy room: a private perch above the city that feels completely secret.
Suite Garden
A duplex at garden level — the wildcard of the room lineup. Ground floor has a large sitting room for guests. Head upstairs and the bathroom is open to both the bedroom and the private wooded terrace. Surrounded by the inner courtyard garden, it feels like a separate world from the bustle of rue Washington a floor up. Private dining in the garden is possible.
