The artist and musician in residence program brings world-class performers to an intimate 14th-century Romanesque church. The Oreade restaurant seats only 14 per night. An entire medieval hilltop village in the UNESCO-protected Val d'Orcia, brought back to life by American attorney Michael Cioffi starting in 2003. Rome-based architect Ilaria Miani designed the interiors, threading bespoke furniture, local stone and honey-colored plaster through each of the 20 individually decorated rooms and suites. The result is a hotel that doesn't feel like a hotel at all — more like a private village with exceptional food, a serious spa, and a genuine arts program built around resident musicians and visual artists.

A three-bedroom village house that sleeps up to six. Masterfully balanced between exquisite private suites and welcoming communal spaces. Ensuite bathrooms throughout; two have bathtubs. The master bedroom has an open waterfall shower, steam room, and whirlpool bath for two. Full access to all hotel amenities.

Monte Cetona Suite
The showstopper. At 58 sqm (624 sq ft), this suite features a private balcony that opens onto vineyards and valley, a statement travertine deep-soaking tub positioned to capture the view, and multiple plush seating areas. Antique furnishings, C&C Milano linens, and Santa Maria Novella products round it out. This is the room for a honeymoon or a milestone anniversary.

The grandest option: a six-bedroom Renaissance house spread over four floors, meticulously restored in local stone and wood. Wood-burning fireplaces in the living and dining areas, a full kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine), wine cellar, library, private gym, and spacious outdoor terraces for long alfresco meals. For up to twelve guests, this is a complete private Tuscan compound.
KingSan Pietro Private Village House
A two-bedroom private house for up to four guests, with captivating spaces for resting, gathering, and dining together. The master bedroom looks out toward Radicafoni. Has a private wine cellar stocked with regional bottles, king beds in each bedroom with hand-dyed linens, a living room with an oversized sofa and bookshelves, and a kitchenette with state-of-the-art appliances. KingTuscan View Suites
The clue is in the name. These suites orient everything around the Val d'Orcia panorama — expect the landscape to be the main event, with the suite's design (king bed, plaster walls, antique furnishings) playing in harmony. The Sant'Andrea suite is a standout individual option within this tier.
KingVillage Rooms
The entry-level accommodation, and still very much worth it. Each room is individually designed with handmade king-sized beds, bespoke furniture, and natural materials — raw wooden beams, undulating plaster walls, local stone. Gauzy curtains diffuse afternoon light beautifully. Views look out over the village cobblestones rather than the valley. Two interconnecting rooms available on request.
KingVillage Suites
A step up from the Village Rooms with additional lounging space — either an extra sitting area or a sofa bed — giving a genuinely suite-like feel. Light and airy, with beamed ceilings and the same careful material palette of reclaimed wood, noble weaves, and hand-dyed linens. Some have a small desk; one has a bathtub.
