Why It Matters
The only Moxy property in Romania. Its 'BarCeption' concept — where the bar IS the front desk — is the most distinctive thing about it. Good value for a central Old Town location that would cost considerably more at a traditional hotel.
Moxy brought its bold, game-forward brand to Bucharest's Old Town in 2020, and it works surprisingly well here. The lobby pulls triple duty as bar, check-in desk, and co-working space — you grab your room key at the same counter where someone's ordering a cocktail. Rooms are compact but cleverly designed, with every inch doing something useful. The location is the real draw: step outside and you're already in the thick of the Old Town's cobbled streets, historic churches, and late-night bar scene.

The entry-level room. Compact but smart — every inch has a purpose. Motion-activated LED guidelights under the bed, a 42-inch flat-screen TV with full HD and a high-quality sound system, built-in USB ports, free Wi-Fi, and a walk-in shower. High-thread-count bedding and a full-height art image on the wall. No wardrobe, no in-room safe. Functional rather than luxurious.
QueenStandard Twin Room
Same footprint and features as the Standard Queen but configured with two single beds. Only 10 of these in the hotel, so availability is limited. Good for two friends or colleagues who don't want to share a bed.
TwinSuperior Queen Room (Street View with Balcony)
The best room in the house. Everything the Superior Street View offers, plus a private balcony looking out over the Old Town. On warmer evenings this is genuinely special — coffee in the morning, a glass of wine at night. Guests specifically call out having a balcony as a highlight.
QueenSuperior Queen Room (Street View)
A step up with a street-facing view of the Old Town below. Same features as Standard but with the added visual interest of the neighborhood. Worth noting: the windows aren't fully soundproofed, so the lively street noise comes with the view. A fair trade-off for most guests, but light sleepers should be warned.
