My Arbor - Dolomites
Alpine modernist wellness retreat. Lots of reclaimed wood, floor-to-ceiling glass, earthy grays and whites. Very quiet — adults only (16+), and the whole 'MY philosophy' is built around unscheduled, self-directed time. No one is rushing you anywhere.
Book spa treatments before you arrive — the in-room QR booking system often shows nothing available within a few days of check-in
Why It Matters
The only hotel of its kind in Italy — a genuine tree hotel on steel stilts suspended in a pine forest, with a 2,500 m² spa named SPA Arboris. The architecture alone justifies the trip. Add direct ski access to Plose in winter and Dolomite hiking trails from the door in summer.
Italy's largest treehouse hotel, full stop. My Arbor sits on 66 steel stilts up to 34 meters tall along a steep pine forest on the Plose mountain above Brixen, and the whole thing looks like a 21st-century Fallingwater dropped into South Tyrol. Architect Gerhard Tauber clad the boxy modernist structure in reclaimed larch and fir, so it actually disappears into the trees. Owned by Brixen native Markus Huber and his sommelier wife Renate since 2010, opened in May 2018.
