Why It Matters

Naio Hotel & Villas sits on a beachfront jungle campus of over 120,000 m² in Palomino, La Guajira, right where the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta meets the Caribbean Sea. It's the rare proper luxury option in a town that otherwise runs on hostels and surf camps. Thatched-roof villas and suites — many well over 200 m² — cluster around a lagoon-style pool tiled in stone and turquoise, with long decks of shaded daybeds facing the water directly. Palomino itself is still a relatively unspoiled fishing village, and Naio benefits from that rawness while offering a manicured, well-staffed counterpoint to it.
