Why It Matters
One of Austria's few resorts where you can stay in a hotel suite or a fully private chalet with your own sauna and still access the same spa, childcare, and Gault Millau-awarded restaurant. The organic farm (Embachhof, documented since 1347) genuinely feeds the kitchen — this isn't marketing language. Car-free plateau location is rare and genuinely peaceful.
Run by the Madreiter family since the mid-1800s, PURADIES sits on a car-free, sunny plateau above Leogang at roughly 1,000 metres — flanked by two cable car stations and surrounded by 300,000 sqm of private meadow and forest. The resort offers 76 hotel rooms and suites plus 14 freestanding private chalets, all done in warm blonde wood with mountain views through every window. Ski-in/ski-out in winter, direct Epic Bikepark access in summer, a Gault Millau-awarded restaurant, and the newly expanded Heaven Spa (1,500 sqm indoor, 10,000 sqm garden) complete the picture.

Two free daily rides on the Leogang and Saalbach Hinterglemm cable cars are included for all guests. Gets you to the mountain and back — essential for both skiing and summer hiking/biking.
Supervised children's programme for ages 3+, running every day. Outdoor-based activities: nature crafts, forest walks, climbing wall, farm visits. In winter, coordinates with the ski school — children dropped off and returned directly to the hotel.
60 sqm fitness centre with Technogym equipment inside the Heaven Spa building. Included for guests. Note: some reviewers mention it could use heavier free weights.
Guided hikes depart from the resort five days per week as part of the activity programme. Trails start directly from the property.

Direct ski access from the resort to the Steinbergbahn gondola in the morning. The last run of the day comes back down to Puradies via a private piste. The connected Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn ski circus covers 270+ km of slopes.
Snowshoe trails accessible directly from the resort's snow-covered plateau. Part of the winter activity programme.
