Cosy
The smallest rooms in the house — cosy by name, cosy by nature. Furnished with sleek velvets, soft linens, and fluffy throws. Comes with a hot water bottle (with a hand-knitted cover), rainfall shower, honesty bar, and Nespresso. Fine for a solo traveller or a couple who plan to spend most of the time out. No rolltop tub, and not all are dog-friendly.

A step above Very Good — the key differentiator is the freestanding rolltop bathtub. Some rooms have space for cots or fold-out beds. All feature an uber-comfy bed, rainfall shower, honesty bar, Nespresso, dedicated workspace, and Bramley toiletries. Mr & Mrs Smith particularly rates Room 7's free-standing tin tub.
Outstanding
The largest and grandest room in the house at 58 sqm. High ceilings, expansive windows, emperor-sized bed, a freestanding rolltop bathtub, and a double shower. There's room for a doggy bed (or two). Comes with a well-stocked honesty bar, Nespresso machine, dedicated work space, Bramley toiletries, and fluffy robes. Only one of this type.

Cheltenham hosts a calendar of major festivals year-round including the Literature Festival, Jazz Festival, and Science Festival. The hotel sits in the heart of it all, a short walk from most venues.
The famous racecourse is a 15-minute walk from the hotel — the closest hotel to the course. Cheltenham Festival runs in March; racing happens year-round. The hotel serves pre-race breakfast and post-race dinners, and the bar stays open late on race days.
The entire hotel — all 13 bedrooms, restaurant, bar, and lounge — can be booked for exclusive use (one to three days). Ideal for weddings, private parties, corporate events, or Christmas takeovers. Fully bespoke; flexible on suppliers and format.
