No Vacancy
Bohemian-chic meets mid-century modern. Exposed brick, wood-beamed ceilings, live plants, wicker chairs, disco balls, clawfoot tubs — every room has a personality. The vibe is low-key creative, not trying-too-hard boutique.
Studios 7 and 8 can be conjoined through a connecting door — ideal for a small group who wants two rooms but shared access
Why It Matters
Only 8 rooms in an arts district building with no front desk, no TVs, and no two rooms alike. Le Lounge downstairs is a legit neighborhood bar open to the public. The whole place can be booked out for weddings and events. Michelin Guide selected and Tablet Hotels member.
No Vacancy is an eight-room guesthouse on the second floor of a restored 1920s brick building in Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District. Opened in summer 2020 by Spencer Sight, it trades front desks and room keys for keyless entry and studio apartments that feel like a designer friend's place — each one different, none of them ordinary. Voted Kansas City's Best Hotel in 2025.
