One of Copenhagen's most design-serious hotels, housed in one of the city's first concrete structures. A 1903 landmark building that spent decades as the Royal Danish Academy of Music before Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh converted it into a five-star hotel in 2017. The stately façade is all heritage — inside, it's organic modernism: chevron oak floors, Italian Bardiglio marble bathrooms, and custom furniture made by Wingårdh's studio. Seventy-five rooms across seven categories, with Restaurant NOI and the Marble Bar doing serious work as standalone dining destinations.

A step up in size to 22 sqm, with deep arched window niches that flood the room with light. The walls are painted in soothing greens (a different palette from the Superior) and the furnishings are the same Wingårdh-custom pieces. Still a walk-in shower rather than a bath — if you want a tub, look at the Junior Suite and above.

Junior Suite
At 40 sqm, this is where the hotel starts to breathe. Corner placement means two large windows facing two directions. The living area has Swedese armchairs and an abstract rug — a proper sitting space, not just a chair shoved in the corner. The bathroom adds a bathtub alongside the walk-in shower, and the 200cm DUX bed is a step up. Comes with a 500 DKK NOI dining voucher per person.

Junior Suite Loft
The loft version of the Junior Suite, positioned higher in the building with slanted ceilings. The character is cozy and architectural, though the angled ceiling is a polarizing feature — some guests love it, others find it limits the feel of space. Good for those who want the Junior Suite experience with a more atmospheric setting.

The hotel's signature suite at 91 sqm, entered through grand double doors. Original architectural details — delicate cornices, soaring ceiling height — sit alongside Wingårdh's contemporary materials: marble, oak, glass, and a striking blue accent palette. The sitting area accommodates a spacious sofa and Swedese armchairs; the dining area seats six. You sleep in a 200cm steel poster bed. The marble bathroom has a freestanding tub, walk-in shower, and a separate toilet off the entrance. Comes with a complimentary NOI Symphony tasting menu with wine pairing for two.

Two suites sit on the top floor, each at 98 sqm, accessible directly by elevator. Eight windows in multiple directions make them genuinely bright; the charming exposed rafters give a loft-within-the-rooftop feel. The palette shifts to beautiful greens. Two bedrooms and two Bardiglio marble bathrooms (one with tub, one with walk-in shower) on two floors. Book both together for the entire 240 sqm penthouse floor. Same generous inclusions as the Nobis Suite: NOI Symphony dinner, full minibar, spirits bar, fresh flowers.

The entry-level room. Compact at 18 sqm, but the high ceilings and generous window niches with floor-length drapes keep it from feeling cramped. Chevron oak floors, a Wingårdh-designed curve-shaped dresser, an angular steel poster bed with DUX mattress, and full Bardiglio marble bathroom. City or courtyard views. Honest rooms — not Instagram bait, but comfortable and well-made.

Same footprint and quality as the Superior, but positioned on the third floor with a slanted ceiling that gives it a more atmospheric, loft-like character. Views over Copenhagen. The angled ceiling is charming in photos but does reduce usable headroom in parts of the room — worth being aware of before booking.

Restaurant NOI's private dining room seats up to 14 guests around a large dinner table with comfortable design chairs and atmospheric lighting. Full personal service and the full NOI menu. Available for family dinners, business entertaining, or any group that wants an exclusive evening.
The hotel maintains a fleet of bright red bikes available free of charge to guests. Good for exploring the city at ground level. Worth noting: Copenhagen's own municipal e-bike hire scheme is an alternative that's cheaper and includes built-in navigation screens.
A collaboration with RAVE Yoga offers guests six expertly designed yoga sessions by instructor Helen. Sessions are accessed digitally and transform the hotel room into a personal yoga studio — no class schedule to work around.
